Catherine has been teaching for the past 17 years. She went into full-time teaching upon completion of her Bachelor degree with King’s College London and did her Master with the Royal Academy of Music and the King’s College, all that while teaching in Royal College of Music's Junior Classes and administering as a Professor Assistant back at the King's College of Music in London. Back in Singapore, she is currently teaching mostly grade 8 to Diploma levels students and all her students are actually piano teachers as well. Catherine has a fair amount of students who pursued the performing as well as teaching diplomas and thus she is equally acquainted with both. Catherine does not just focus on exam repertoires, but it greatly depends on the productivity of the student. If the student can manage, she will cover a lot of other repertoires and even reading and listening of music literacy extensively. Her objective is to guide the student patiently till he or she is musically mature and independent. Independent to hold a discussion stating her musical thoughts comfortably, musically mature to hold the right thoughts as such and exemplifies in one’s playing.

Catherine has been teaching for the past 20 years. She went into full-time teaching upon completion of her Bachelor degree with King’s College London and did her Master with the Royal Academy of Music and the King’s College, all that while teaching in the Royal College of Music’s Junior Classes & administering as a Professor Assistant back in King’s College.
Back in Singapore, she is currently teaching mostly grade 8 to Diploma levels students and all her students are actually piano teachers as well. Catherine has a fair amount of students who pursued the performing as well as teaching diplomas and thus she is equally acquainted with both.

Catherine does not just focus on exam repertoires, but it greatly depends on the productivity of the student. If the student can manage, she will cover a lot of other repertoires and even reading and listening of music literacy extensively. Her objective is to guide the student patiently till he or she is musically mature and independent.
