Yolanda graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Upper Class Honors, majoring in Classical Voice Performance at University of Wales, Prifysgol Cymru. She studied under renowned teachers Lim Shieh Yih, Nancy Yuen, Joyce Khoo and has worked with various musical coaches and conductors. She first made her operatic debut as Auretta in Mozart's opera, L'oca del Cairo, and has since played many other roles. Yolanda was also the prizewinner of the 5th Tan Ngiang Kaw/Tan Ngiang Ann Memorial Vocal Competition (2011). Showing a huge love for performing on stage, she has worked with orchestras such as the Nafa Symphony Orchestra and has performed in renowned theatres. She also has a trio of her own with her close friends; they have performed for several functions including corporate dinners, weddings etc. Yolanda has also achieved Grade 8 in both Theory and Piano. For the past 9 years, she specialises in teaching vocal techniques, piano and theory to various age groups from early childhood to adults and has conducted enrichment classes and workshops in primary and secondary schools. She has also developed curriculum booklets and programmes for various schools. -
