Experienced & Qualified Teacher to give Piano Lessons

Received her musical training at the Trinity College of Music, London where she graduated with the Graduate of Trinity College of Music (GTCL, Honours) and a Licentiate Diploma (LTCL, Teaching). Also holds the ABRSM Grade 8 Practical and Theory, and GCE A Level Music.

Having undergone her music studies overseas, coupled with more than 20 years of teaching experience in music schools, as well as in private setting, she is confident that she is able to pass on this wealth of knowledge by educating students in the right methodologies, helping them to build a firm foundation and technique, at the same time guiding them in effective practice methods which will aid in learning repertoire more efficiently. instilling in them a good understanding and a life-long appreciation for music.

A well-organised, patient, committed and motivated teacher, she is able to communicate well and develop positive relationship with students to ensure that every lesson is rewarding.

Lesson approach focuses on:
1. Fundamental skills of musical phrasing, articulation, interpretation, aural, sight-reading and theory.
2.Lessons that are meticulously planned and tailored according to the individual student’s strengths and weaknesses,
learning pace and styles and personal goals.
3. Effective piano performance techniques that are well-explained and demonstrated.
4. Instilling a good understanding and a life-long appreciation for music.
5. Providing a regular evaluation and constructive feedback to parents on student’s progress.

Generally a relaxed teacher; however, students are expected to follow a consistent practice routine during the week as set out during lesson to ensure progress, satisfaction and accomplishment; parental involvement is encouraged for younger students.
