Jie Rong has been learning the piano at the age of 5 and also started composing at the age of 11. He attended Yamaha Junior Course for 3 years, and studied under his uncle, Mr Joseph Toh Kai Kim (NAFA) and received his Grade 8 ABRSM Piano Certificate at the age of 15. He graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2013, with a Diploma in Music, majoring in Music Composition under Malaysian maestro, Dr. Chong Kee Yong (2011 and 2013) and local composer Ms. Joyce KohBeetuan (2012). As of now, he is mostly self-taught.

I've been playing piano since age of 6 , studied through a variety of songs including classical, pop and more. I've always have a passion for music and the love children . I love passing on the skills I've learnt to people who have interest and passion for music. I teach students of all age, leisure, as well as preparing students for exams . I have 4 years of experience of teaching younger children and exposing them to music and preparing them for graded exams. I believe in teaching children to appreciate and love music at a young age. I also have 2 years experience in playing piano for ballet classes and am currently also playing for church services at my church.

I have a Diploma in Piano Teaching--LTCL (Licentiate Trinity College of London). I have been teaching for about 25 years. Taught both children and adults. Also taught special needs children - dyslexic, ADHA (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and autistic. My place is near Orchard MRT.

Preferring to teach at my residence around the Jelita area, I teach Classical, Pop and K-Pop piano lessons for interested learners of all ages. I also teach Theory of Music (ABRSM syllabus), and may be able to help with certain history and/or theory parts of O Level and A Level music.
